Rapid Response Medical Training That Prepares People to Save Lives Under Pressure
From CPR/AED to Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Defend Systems delivers medical training designed for real-world emergencies, not controlled classroom scenarios.

When an Emergency Happens, You May Be a First Responder
In critical incidents, lifesaving care often begins long before professional help arrives. Without training, even well-intentioned people may freeze or hesitate, costing precious seconds and minutes. Effective medical training must be practical, repeatable, and built for high-stress environments where conditions are far from ideal.

Rapid Response Medical Training for Every Level
Defend Systems offers medical training tailored to your needs, whether you’re a civilian or first responder. Our courses emphasize practical skills, clear decision-making, and confidence under pressure, equipping you to provide effective care in unpredictable, high-stress situations.
Our Courses
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)
TECC focuses on and provides guidelines for managing trauma in the civilian tactical or hazardous environment. This two-day course takes an all-hazard approach to providing care outside the normal operating conditions of most EMS agencies, such as responding to a mass casualty or active shooter event.
Designed for anyone who may find themselves in a high-stress emergency situation, TECC is open to civilians, first responders, security personnel, and concerned community members alike. It is fully aligned with the recommendations of the Hartford Consensus (I, II, III, and IV), the C-TECC standards, and the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care.
Upon successful completion of TECC, students receive a 4-year certification from NAEMT as a TECC Provider.
CPR/AED Certification
The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver course equips participants to quickly recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality chest compressions, deliver effective ventilations, and use an AED.
Upon successful completion of the course and skills assessment, you'll receive your CPR certification card via email, valid for two years and guaranteed to be accepted.
4-Hour Rapid Response Medical Training
This four-hour course provides hands-on medical training based on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) principles in an accessible environment. Participants learn life-saving techniques for the two leading preventable causes of death in high-threat situations: massive hemorrhage and tension pneumothorax. Through classroom lesson and interactive skills practice, this course is suitable for civilians and professionals alike.
Not Sure Which Medical Training is Right for You or Your Team?
We’ll help you determine the right level of training based on your environment, risk profile, and audience. Whether you need basic life-saving skills or advanced trauma care, we start with a conversation.

How Training from Defend Systems Helped a Client Save His Own Life
Trace Hall, Vice President of Sales at Thompson Machinery, experienced a life-threatening miter saw accident while building a fence at home. Drawing on the bleeding control and tourniquet training he received from Defend Systems the year before, he calmly instructed his son to apply a tourniquet to his arm during the drive to the hospital, which ultimately helped save his life. Watch his powerful testimony.
Voices From the Field

The best part—the instructors. Clear, concise, they're with you all the way. You guys need this. I'm now very confident out and about whether I need to treat myself or others.

I want to thank the Defend Systems team for your Tactical Emergency Casualty Care course. I spoke to both my team members and as expected they both had rave reviews about the training—everything from the classroom to the practical hands-on. One actually made the comment that Defend Systems offered a better, more in-depth training than what he had in his military training with the U.S. Air Force. On behalf of myself and my team, THANK YOU for the attention to detail.

I survived a gunshot to the neck by sealing it with my own finger- their advice is so right. It really works. I believe deeply in being first aid ready- this was the best training I’ve ever been to. I’ll be recommending this to all my service organizations, churches, etc. I’ve been fortunate to be useful in two car crashes, a choking child, and several kid injuries from falls, breaks, and punctures, but I can't imagine how good I could be after this. 100/10 this was amazing.

Defend Systems active shooter, CPR/AED, and NAEMT courses have given my team the education to assist in saving lives while on the job and in our private lives. The cadre of Defend Systems are truly subject matter experts in their fields, with training in simulated real-life scenarios. Our team was put through the stress and rigor of what real life-saving situations would entail. I have often pointed many clients and peers in the direction of Defend Systems for this training.

The training provided by Defend Systems offers a powerful and eye-opening perspective on the evolving threats we face every day. This program delivers more than just knowledge, it truly instills a deep sense of awareness and preparedness. Brink and his team are genuinely passionate and demonstrate a heartfelt commitment to the safety of everyone.
